Helix provides more than well suspension services; we offer global decommissioning services and full field production enhancement. We have developed innovative systems and techniques to help reduce the cost burden of decommissioning subsea wells and subsea architecture.
The July 2022 acquisition of Alliance group of companies augments Helix’s decommissioning and life-of-field maintenance service capabilities through the addition of comprehensive shallow water assets, including a fleet of Jones Act-compliant vessels, lift boats, heavy lift derrick barges, offshore supply vessels, diving vessels, plug and abandonment system, coiled tubing systems and snubbing units.
We provide cost-efficient, robust, technical solutions for your well decommissioning needs including well suspension, plugging and abandonment, tubing removal, tree recovery, saturation diving and seabed clearance all fully project managed under a single contract.

Saturation diving
Since 1987, we’ve combined our deep expertise in saturation diving with our industry-leading well intervention capabilities. This unique combination ensures we have the experience to tackle the most challenging subsea hardware. Our capabilities also include subsea inspections and repairs—tasks that require more precision and maneuverability than remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) can provide.
Helix’s well intervention monohull vessels, Seawell and Well Enhancer, are both equipped with integrated 18-man saturation systems, each rated to 300 meters of seawater.
From 2013 to 2024, our diving teams successfully completed 5,401 bell runs and worked a total of 4,953 days, accumulating over 1,390,259 man-hours in saturation diving.
