Safely and Silently Supporting Clean Energy:
Helix Robotic Solutions (Helix RS) successfully executed the safe and environmentally responsible disposal of 16 confirmed unexploded ordnance (UXO) items at a UK offshore wind farm site.
In full compliance with the UK Government’s marine low-noise and UXO disposal policies, Helix RS deployed its long-term contracted vessel, Glomar Wave, crewed by expert remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and explosive ordnance disposal (EOD) teams.
Mobilized from Great Yarmouth, operations were conducted in water depths ranging from 30 to 60 meters, with minimal noise detetected by the project's sensitive monitoring systems.
