HPI Conversion Builds Momentum

Installation of production topsides on the Helix Producer I is currently underway at the Kiewit Offshore Services shipyard in Ingleside, Texas.  As of October 15, four of the ten production modules have been lifted onto the HPI’s main deck.

The Helix Producer I is on target to undergo sea trials in the early first quarter of 2010, and begin production on the Phoenix oil field in the second quarter of 2010.  The HPI is designed for production of up to 45,000 barrels of oil per day, and is projected to produce the Phoenix field at near-maximum rates when the field comes online.
